Splash!! And in he went...
As you may have suspected, Nathan fell in the pool! We had to drop something at Aunt Mary Ellen's house this evening and we let Nathan out of the car to pet Penny (their dog). Aunt Mary Ellen and I were chatting by the pool and watching Nate throw beach balls in the water. Chad had joined us after choosing some movies to watch over the weekend. We were saying our goodbyes since it was getting late (only 8pm! I never thought that would be considered late...) and the boys needed baths and bed.
We all heard the splash...and didn't see Nate. He had fallen in the shallow end and was near the edge. Josiah and I couldn't reach him though and Chad hopped into the water. Thank the Lord, Nathan didn't inhale any water! I couldn't believe it. He came out of the water crying and shaken up but not spitting and sputtering. He held his breath...I guess that is a good sign since we want him to learn how to swim. It didn't surprise me when Nate fell in since he flirts with the edge every time he is at the pool. Hopefully this experience will fill him with a healthy fear of the water.
Have a happy Friday! Love to you all.

What a shock for both of you. We start swimming lessons in the morning, so I am sure I will have water baby stories of my own soon. I am glad he is ok!
