July 4th was a lot of fun. We went swimming as a family and Nathan had a blast in the water. He has become very brave the last couple of times in the water. Chad and I tossed him back and forth-quite a big step for our little Nate. I didn't take pictures, but I caught the boys on video. I'll have to learn how to post videos soon.
Later that day we attended our church's annual picnic. They go all out with free food for members of the community, games, and concerts by the choir and church members. This is the church's big outreach of the year. It was a nice time to remember our men and women serving our country and their sacrifice. As a Christian I'm glad to have spiritual freedom as well as living in a free nation.
Nate enjoying the fireworks--Cameron snoozing
Nathan had a good time on the slide and train. Daddy was working at the slide for an hour and Nate felt it was ok to cut in line-he knew people, right? Mommy and Nate had to go for a walk to cool off his little red headed temper. If he wasn't my son it may have been funny. He stamped his bare feet and was very put out.
The lady I met at the park has been to a couple of events I've invited her to attend. I think she has been grateful to have this extra mommy time with her little boy since she will be in school full time this fall. I couldn't imagine going to school full time with the boys. She sure is a brave woman. I'm still praying God will work in her life and use me if He desires.
After playgroup this week Nathan started talking in three word sentences! Way to go Nate! 'Love you Mama', 'It's good Mama', are a couple of phrases he has been saying. So cute. He had Chad and me laughing over dinner. He carried on a conversation like a little man:)
Next week we are flying to STL to see our family and show off the boys. It will be a great time of family fun. So watch out everyone--we're coming soon! Here are a few pictures of Cameron's most recent photo session. Isn't he a ham?!
