I have been blessed this week and its only Monday! Here's the story. Last week I was at the grocery store with the boys picking up a few sale items. I'm at the van loading my goodies and children when a lady in an SUV pulls up next to me. She noticed me in the store with the boys and wanted to know if I would be interested in a mom's group. Well, yeah.
If anyone knows me very well then you understand how hard it is for me to be social at times. Not all the time, just in very new and unfamiliar situations I tend to back off a little. A habit I'm trying to break. This morning we met at a coffee house for a meet and greet session. Six ladies showed up and we had a good visit. The group reminded me of the way MOPS operates. Dues, play dates, moms nights, etc. I may insist on name tags though...I'm terrible with names.
I have said that to say this: my God is huge! He knew I needed some moms to hang out with. He knew I needed to get out of my self pity and realize I'm not the only stay at home mom in Rocky Mount. Isn't it great that God cares about the little things in our lives? The neat thing is He doesn't see our lives as insignificant. He cares so much He sent Jesus! Praise the Lord.

YAY!!! My prayers have been answered!!! Your friendship has been such a blessing to me I have been praying that god would bring other stay at home moms into your life that could bless you. I am so thrilled. WOW!!! How great is our God to surprise you while you were just doing your job of wife and mother by grocery shooping. Our God is full of surprises! I'm so excited and I can't wait to hear more you new buddies.
Hey girl I am so glad that went well. I was nervous for you. Now I just want to say this with all sincerity and no bitterness. YOU better not stop calling me just because Missy is home! I have really enjoyed our daily talks this last week and I hope you keep it up. I'm encouraging you to call me because you know if you have a screaming baby and unruly toddler. Just keep me in line. Love ya!
