Lets get personal...

Hello Everyone!

God has been working on me for a while. I guess I've felt distant from Him, wanting and praying for true intimacy but never really arriving. Very frustrating. I do know I'm lazy when it comes to setting aside meaningful Bible and prayer time, so I have no one to blame but me. Anyway, all this to say the Lord mercifully led me to a study of Him that I think will change my view of Him and cultivate a deeper relationship with Him.

I have started to study the names of God. There is a reason God used different names to describe Himself in scripture--so we can get a glimpse of the wonderful God we serve. The first name of God in scripture is Elohim, "powerful God". He is Creator God, the One true God of the universe. And He cares about you and me. Wants to know us intimately! That makes me think of the praise song ( I don't know the name or artist, but part of it goes like this...) 'It makes me want to shout-Thank you Jesus, Hallelujah, You are worthy of all the honor and all the glory and all the praise'!
