Wow. What a week! The kids were sick for a couple of days with a virus--fever and general crankiness. But overall it has been a great week. I have seen God work in many ways and He has shown me He is in control again and again.
1) God has blessed me with friendship. I have wonderful moms I meet with regularly to share laughs and fun times. What a great God we serve! These ladies were basically dropped into my lap--He knows what a social klutz I am:) I will also be joining a ladies Bible study next month with our Sunday school and hope to get to know these precious ladies a little better.
2) It is not about me! Its all about Him and the glorifying of His Name. I am learning that God's ways are bigger than anyone of us, and His purposes are far bigger and out of view than we can see. Just because something doesn't make sense humanly speaking, doesn't mean God dropped the ball. A sweet sister in Christ wowed me with her faith this week. She has experienced an enormous amount of pain and still praises Jesus. She knows that God is in control of everything and has a plan far better than anyone could imagine. I thought about the 'peace that passes all understanding' as she was speaking. God's peace is incomprehensible, but oh so wonderful. If your don't have the peace only God gives I pray you will find the Jesus that I love.
3) I have a husband that loves me and loves the Lord. Chad, I love you baby...and am so proud of you. Our children are truly blessed with a wonderful daddy.
I hope you all have a blessed holiday weekend. Cherish every moment with your family. I just heard of the tragedy that happened in the Stephen Curtis Chapman home. Lets cover this family with our prayers. Love to you all.
